Industries We Serve

Retail & restaurant network services

SRN supports network planning, deployment and ongoing operations for retail, restaurant and hospitality businesses. Start with the systems your locations depend on: POS, ordering, staff connectivity, guest Wi-Fi and the devices connected to them.

Choose from specialist device support and replacement, managed networking, or managed networking with SOC monitoring. Define the responsibilities your internal team will retain and the support you need across locations. Planning an opening or refresh? Discuss the project requirements alongside your ongoing coverage.

Plan for the way your locations trade

A useful network conversation starts with your stores and restaurants: when they trade, which systems they depend on, and who takes ownership when something stops working. Use these questions to define the work before choosing a support package.

  • POS and ordering: which checkout, handheld, kitchen and online-ordering connections must work during peak trading hours? Identify the application, payment and connectivity providers involved.
  • Guest Wi-Fi and connected devices: document payment, staff, guest, camera and building-system connections. Review the boundaries between them as part of your PCI DSS and network risk planning.
  • Connectivity and recovery: agree which applications need a backup connection, how recovery will be tested and who coordinates with carriers when a circuit fails.
  • Changes across locations: record site-specific exceptions, approved configurations, maintenance windows and the person authorized to approve a change.

Choose the right level of ongoing support

The starting point is your internal team’s role, not just your location count.

Confirm covered equipment, responsibilities, coverage hours, escalation routes and response targets in your service agreement. Do not assume onsite labor, new-store installations or every incident-response activity is included in an ongoing support tier.

Store openings and network refreshes

For an opening or refresh, bring your location list, target trading dates, circuit status, current equipment inventory and POS-vendor dependencies. Define readiness checks and the handoff to the team that will support the site after launch.

Explore network design and implementation and field deployment and maintenance. Discuss project requirements alongside your ongoing support needs so each responsibility has an owner.

Common questions from retail and restaurant teams

Can we keep our internal IT team?

Yes. Start by defining which work your team will retain and which work you want to discuss with SRN. The ASR, managed network and SOC options address different support needs; agree the division of responsibility before selecting a tier.

Does managed networking make our business PCI compliant?

No service package alone establishes compliance. Your payment environment, applicable requirements and validation obligations still need review. See our PCI DSS support and scoping guidance.

What should we send with a sales enquiry?

Share your approximate location count, operating regions, current network equipment, internal support model and main challenge. Do not send passwords, payment card data or confidential network diagrams through the website form.
